C. Peter Chen is a software engineer and historian based on the east coast of the United States. He runs the consulting company Lava Development, LLC. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Rutgers University.

Pete has 20 years of professional experience as a developer in several industries, most recently being in the defense/aerospace manufacturing sector, working with a wide range of things including designing relational databases, coding solutions from the ground up, and working with off-the-shelf ERP systems.
Pete is the founder of the website World War II Database (WW2DB), and continutes to author content and archive historical media/documents for the project.
Pete is also on the staff of The Imperial Japanese Navy Page, also known as CombinedFleet.com.
