C. Peter Chen is a software engineer and historian based on the east coast of the United States. He runs the consulting company Lava Development, LLC. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Rutgers University.

Pete has professional experience in aerospace manufacturing, video conferencing, higher education, and small business environments, working with a wide range of things which include, but not limited to, object oriented programming, relational database design and development, software engineering, and general system administration.
Pete is the managing editor of the website World War II Database (WW2DB). In addition to have designed the site layout and the relational database structure, he also performs research, writes content, archives media and documents, manages submissions from contributors, manages relationships with advertisers, and continuously develops new search engine optimization strategies.
Pete is also on the staff of The Imperial Japanese Navy Page, also known as CombinedFleet.com.
